We’re Getting Married!

Bride & Groom

Renee Doubleday

I remember seeing Colin for the first time at my cousin's wedding a few years ago, hunkered down in his chair at a table, tugging on his beard and looking too large in the grey dress shirt that pulled across his shoulders. I was immediably struck by how handsome he was, and the critical look in his eye.

Colin Boardway

I remember Renee walking up to me at a volleyball game. She asked, "You're Paul's friend, right?" as she was looking for her cousin, Paul, who was also my best friend. All I could think at the time was, who is this gorgeous creature and where did she come from? I replied, "Oh that Mother Lover! He's over there!" ...which happened to be the location I would meander over to soon after, yah can't blame me, she has a magnetism.

Additional Information

While there are a variety of hotels, bed & breakfast's and other accomodations near and in Galena, the bride, groom, family and bridal party are planning on staying at Stoney Creek Inn in Galena. While some rooms are reserved, we recommend you reserve your room as soon as possible to ensure a spot. Just let them know you are with the "Boardway Wedding" for that weekend and ask for a room near our block! Please take note that most hotels in the immediate Galena area require a two night reservation on weekends.
Although there is generous parking at the venue, we would like to offer a bus to and from Stoney Creek Inn for our wedding guests who plan on drinking that night. Stay safe! More details on the bus schedule to come.
Dinner and many desserts to be provided!
